Since I was talking about new year's resolutions, I should probably start, eh?
My resolutions for 2006 are to write 3 category-length romances (write and edit, really) and send them and the first one out to M&B London. I will also finish the chick lit novel and send that one out to four publishers and 6 editors over the course of the year.
I'll also finish the libretto for my joint musical project as well as a raw version of all the lyrics.

Those are my writing resolutions. I'mhappy with my writing habits, so I'm not going to tinker with them. Let's see how I go! ^_-

What about you?

The plan for Tee Morris in 2006:

1. Return and adhere to strict writing schedule (2000 words a day) while balancing a podcasting schedule.

2. Complete three novels (two Fantasy novels, one Military SF Comedy).

3. Find agent (and potentially a NY-based publisher) for new fiction work.

4. Podcast Billibub Baddings and The Case of The Singing Sword.

Happy New Year, everyone! Good luck to you and your Writer's Resolutions. (And yes, I'll keep everyone in the know on how well I keep them...)

A number of my resolutions mirror Tee's.

1) Complete two 80,000 word fantasy novels.

2) Complete 15 hours of English classes at college this year with a minimum of a 3.0 average.

3) Acquire an agent for my novels.

4) Submit two proposals for licensed work.

5) Read two new books a month.

Keep your fingers crossed for me. :)

Hi Kiki. I heard about your show on the Survival Guide to Writing Fantasy, and listened to your first episode. Very interesting - I don't plan on becoming a romance writer, particularly, but I'm very confident romance will feature in my writing regardless.

I'd like to listen to the rest of your shows, but my computer won't open them. I'm quite non-technical, and I don't know how to fix the problem. I only know that clicking the title gives me an error message, but clicking the link in the body of your first show's intro worked for me.

I hope to be able to listen to your other episodes sometime. Thanks!

Hi,
I'm not currently a romance writer but I enjoy reading and listening to the experiences of others, published and non-published.
There seems to be a problem with the files for shows two and three. Any chance that you could reload them.
RThanks

I like this episode, Kiki. Good advice. Steve Pavlina posted some more great advice on his blog. Sometimes he get a bit new-agey (which I am not); nonetheless, he has much great advice for self-improvement.

Keep reading. Keep writing.
